I am very sportive and energetic student, and I love to try new things and meeting new people. I can adapt to new environment very fast. I participate in indoor sports climbing, I have training twice a week. Sometimes with my classmates, we go out to play some basketball or ride a bicycle. Apart from that, when the season allows, we go swimming. I also love doing fitness and dancing to keep my body fit.
Dear Future Host family,
My name is Alim and I am writing to express my enthusiasm for applying to the high school exchange program in the United States. This opportunity represents a dream come true for me, as I have always been passionate about exploring new cultures, improving my communication skills, and challenging myself to grow both academically and personally.
Studying abroad is a unique chance to step out of my comfort zone and immerse myself in a different way of life. I believe that studying in the U.S. will not only help me improve my fluency but also broaden my perspective on the world. I am eager to experience the American education system, which I have heard encourages creativity, critical thinking, and active participation. Additionally, I look forward to making new friends, learning about American traditions, and sharing my own culture with others.
I am excited about the idea of becoming a part of a host family and experiencing daily life in the U.S. I would love to participate in family activities, such as cooking together, watching movies, or playing board games. I am also interested in joining my host family for outdoor activities like hiking, picnics, or sports. If they have any local traditions or celebrations, I would be thrilled to take part and learn more about them. I would be happy to help with household chores and share my own traditions with them.
I am proud of my cultural heritage and would love to introduce my host family to the rich traditions of Turkey and show them photos from various places all around Turkey so that they could see the how colorful my home country is. I can also teach them about our festivals and celebrations, Additionally, I can teach my host family a few words or phrases in Turkish.
I am confident that this exchange program will be a life-changing experience for me. I am excited to embrace new challenges, build lasting friendships, and create unforgettable memories. I am also committed to being a respectful, responsible, and enthusiastic participant in both my host family’s home, my new school community, and the local community.
I am excited about the possibility of sharing more about my country and contributing to the cultural exchange that this program offers.
Sincerely,
Alim

Hi family, in this letter I’m going to explain about me and my desire to go to the USA.
First, When my parents gave me the news about wanting me to go study in another country to learn many concepts and de important English for the future it was very sad, but I managed to convince myself that it would be an unforgettable experience with incredible and unforgettable moments, apart from the fact that I would meet a new family to love forever.
I also really want to go to the USA because I know it is an incredible country with many new things that we don't have here in Spain, and I think it is a new world with many new things to learn.
My family is very proud to be able to give me this opportunity that will mark my life, accepting the economic effort that it requires and the time that they will be without seeing their son.
My friends are a little sad because they think it's too long and a very far place and they will miss me a lot, but they are also happy for the opportunity I have to be able to make this trip to such a far away place and for the new friends I will be able to make.
Leaving this topic aside, talking about the sports that I practice, here in my town I practice handball, since here in Catalonia it is a very popular and widely practiced sport. I know that finding a team to be able to continue playing in the USA is somewhat complicated since it is not a very well-known sport, but I think that I could be able to practice other types of more common sports.
But my favorite hobby is radio controlled airplanes since it is something I have been doing since I was very young and I really enjoy it.
I think I will have to put this hobby aside during my time in the USA since it is very complicated to practice, but I know that many important events are held there and I would love to be able to take advantage of it to see some of them.
Well family, that's all, I hope you liked it and know more about me.
See you soon.
Biel
My name is Jan, I am 17 years old and I study business high school. I live in a village in a family house with my family including our 3 pets. I have always wanted to travel as much as possible, because there is so much to see in this world... I would also say that I am open-minded type of person and I am not afraid to take risks.
Dear Host Family,
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about becoming a part of your family. My name is Jan, I am 17 years old, and I come from a small village in the Czech Republic, where I live with my mom, stepdad, two dogs (Lady and Fidelio), and a cat named Kiki. Our home is surrounded by nature, which has given me a love for the outdoors, as well as a sense of calm and connection to my surroundings.
I would describe myself as an active and curious person. I love sports, especially swimming and working out, which I do regularly to stay healthy and energized. I enjoy challenging myself physically and mentally, and sports have taught me discipline and teamwork. I also have a deep appreciation for traveling and learning about other cultures, which is one of the main reasons I decided to pursue this exchange program.
At home, I study economics, but I am also very interested in languages and communication. English has always been a subject I enjoy, and I am excited to improve my skills while living in your country. I believe that immersing myself in your daily life and learning directly from you will be an incredible experience.
During my stay, I hope to form a strong bond with your family and embrace your traditions and way of life. At the same time, I look forward to sharing my own culture with you. I can teach you about Czech traditions, such as our unique Christmas customs, and share recipes for traditional dishes like "svíčková" (a creamy beef sauce served with dumplings). I would love to show you a bit of my language as well - Czech might be a challenge, but it’s always fun to learn new phrases.
Above all, I hope to grow as a person during this exchange program. I want to adapt to a new lifestyle, gain independence, and build lifelong friendships. I am respectful, responsible, and open-minded.
Thank you for considering me as a part of your family. I am excited about the chance to share this journey with you and to create wonderful memories together.
Best regards, Jan

I’m so excited to introduce myself to you! My name is Hector, I’m 16 years old, and I consider myself a curious and positive person. I love to go skiing, it’s one of my favorite activities, and I enjoy every moment on the slopes, whether it’s the thrill of going fast or simply taking in the beautiful winter landscapes.
One of the things that makes me happiest is spending time with my dog. Whether we’re playing outside, going for walks, or just relaxing together, I always feel joyful and relaxed in his company. I also love meeting new people, as I find it fascinating to learn about their cultures, traditions, and ways of life. Every conversation teaches me something new, and I believe that understanding different perspectives helps me grow as a person.
That’s why I’m so excited to be part of this exchange experience! I can’t wait to meet new friends, immerse myself in a different culture, and create unforgettable memories. This opportunity means a lot to me, and I’m looking forward to everything that’s ahead!
I'm a teenager who is willing to go to the United States to study and live new experiences. I'm so excited about exchanging cultures. My afternoon schedule is first of all do all the homework and study which is the most important thing, then I go training with my track club, my goal is to be faster than my father in a 10 km races= 6.2 miles it's difficult but I will give my best to achieve it.
Dear host family,
My name is Lucas I am 14, I am teenager who is so excited about having the possibility of going a whole year to the USA, first of all thanks for giving me this huge opportunity. from my point of view this is the best opportunity of learning and practicing English and also of experiencing a whole new culture.
I live with my parents and sister who is older than me. I also have a dog, I consider him as my little brother, he is a German Shepherd he is so adorable! We go out to have dinner twice a month, last summer we went to beach all together including our dog (Jack) we had a lot of fun.
I'll tell you about a normal day with my friends and family. Normally my day starts at 7:00 am when I woke up, my classes starts at 7:55 am so I have about 40 minutes to brush my teeth, have breakfast and put on my clothes, my School is near my house it takes around 10 minutes to get there by car, today my first class was English one of my favorites!! Then we had Spanish and music. Around 10:40 we have a break until 11:00. After it we have French, Mathematics, Biology and finally Oratory which I consider it one of the most important subject because being able to talk in front of the people is fundamental for a job.
We finished school at 14:35. I together with my best friend took the bus home, then I have lunch at 15:00. My afternoon schedule is first of all do all the homework and study which is the most important thing, then I go training with my track club, my goal is to be faster than my father in a 10 km races= 6.2 miles it's difficult but I will give my best to achieve it. On the weekend I normally I clean my room and bathroom probably the least favorite activity but surprisingly I do like cleaning the car that's because I'm a "car guy" I am obsessed with them. We also have time to play pádel which is a very famous sport here, it's like tennis but with walls, then on Sunday I hang out with friends and if I have time I help preparing the lunch or dinner, I am not as good cooker as I would like to but I am improving, hopefully when I get to the USA I have enough experience to cook you some original and traditional food from Spain. I hope you are as excited as I am of exchanging cultures, thanks for this opportunity
See you soon, Lucas
